As a way to bring together the members of the Manus Students
Association (MSA) at the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG), the association
hosted a coffee night at the campus to unite everyone looking forward for their
upcoming holiday projects.
Having the theme, Signifying change through cooperation and
ingenuity the association is determined to deliver several holiday projects
with the main goal of developing their province.
Patron for the association Mr. Stephen Pokawin who was present at the coffee night and officially introduced to the students made
impact to the event with his presence.
MSA President Deandrah Polomon acknowledged Mr. Bernard Sinen for sponsoring the event.
“On behalf of the association, we would like to thank Mr.
Siren for sponsoring our refreshment as well as everyone that have helped out”.
"We are excited, having special guests to have attended this
event in the likes of Professor Chalapan Kaluwin and Mr. Richard Lan Snr," Ms Polomon Said.
The highlight of the program was the announcement of the end
of year holiday projects based on the key areas targeted on identity, vision
and Networking. The association is more focused in bringing new changes and
development engaging their fellow family members and relatives to actively take
part in developing the province.
Executives of the Manus Students Association are grateful
for the support shown by other associations from the New Guinea Islands Region.
“We would also like to acknowledge East New Britain Student
association along with the West New Britain and Bougainville Students
association for turning up during the night”.
“We are pleased, seeing support coming from outside institution as Pacific Adventist University and Don Bosco Technical Institute and we believe we can work together as a team”.
